Webinar: The Swedish Lobbying Register: What do Public Affairs, Legal and Management need to have in place before 2027?

It can hardly have escaped anyone in Swedish Public Affairs that a new lobbying register comes into force in July 2027 and that organisations who seek to influence members of the Riksdag, ministers or their staff must, by then, register their activities with Kammarkollegiet. However, many organisations are still unsure what this means for them, and how to handle the new workflows.
In short, they must report the topics they have worked on, the people involved and the cost. The information will be public, and the scope is wide. Companies, trade associations, trade unions, and civil society organisations are covered, even if lobbying is not their main activity.
That makes the register more than a PA task. Public Affairs might hold the record of contacts. But Legal must understand where to draw the line on what qualifies as lobbying under the law (påverkanskommunikation), and Management signs off on what becomes public.
Finland has had a lobbying register since 2024, and Sweden can learn from that experience. Ulobby's webinar on November 5th brings together the Finnish experience and the Swedish legislation to help organisations understand both the new legal requirements and the internal processes they need in place before the law enters into force.
